Judged By Bartenders, Bar Managers and On-Premise Buyers, and Bar Managers, the Bartender Spirits Awards recognizes, encourages, promotes and celebrates excellence in the U.S. drinks industry.

Our judging panel consists of some of the most renowned names in the U.S. bar industry, all of them with extensive expertise within the on-premise industry. The result will be a relevant and practical source of reference for bartenders, bar managers, bar owners and other industry professionals when making purchasing decisions for their establishments. When buyers are looking for new spirits to add to their bar inventory, the first place they look is the Bartender Spirits Awards.

Medals are awarded to those spirits that meet the specifically crafted judging criteria, with a goal of recognizing spirits that should become additions to bar inventories, restaurant lists, and other on-premise platforms. 
Spirits entered in the Bartender Spirits Awards will be assessed on the basis of quality, value, and packaging. The goal is to shine the light to those spirits that not only score well in terms of mixability, versatility, and mouthfeel but also are priced attractively and have superior branding and packaging.

Medals and Awards

Spirits that excel in all three parameters (quality, value, and packaging) will result the spirits to earn medals including Double Gold, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. All judging is done by leading bartenders with on-premise buying expertise, ensuring that all awards and scores earned within the competition are backed by a guarantee of quality. 

Double Gold (96 Points and Above)
Gold (90 Points - 95 Points)
Silver (80 Points - 89 Points)
Bronze (70 Points - 79 Points)

Along with medals, the Bartender Spirits Awards also has a range of 11 special category awards, which are awarded to spirits that meet the judging parameters and stand out. The special category awards include:

Medal winners will be showcased in the Bartenders Spirits TOP 100 SPIRITS Guide, distributed to thousands of bartenders in the U.S. In addition, the Bartender Spirits Awards will provide extensive promotional support for all winners in the competition, including press releases, listings on the competition website, and social media updates.
